RSCOMM - Initial View

The Journal, the initial view of RSCOMM, lists all in- and outbound messages sorted chronologically. The journal contents may differ from user to user, following the "view rules" setup at installation or changed at any later stage. RSCOMM is flexible - a company wide, departmental or purely private based reading of messages is possible.

The journal layout may be set up individually. This does not only include colours and fonts, but also the contents. You can compose your own journal, containing a combination of the following attributes :

• date and time
• sender or receiver
• subject line
• unique message number (assigned by RSCOMM)
• who else of your colleaques have read this message so far
• is this message already filed into a RSCOMM folder
• has someone printed this message
• has someone edited and / or replied
• existance of file attachments
• and many more ...

Multiple journals devide your messages into logically units. This could be one journal for each mail address you have. Alternatively you could use one journal for each department of your organisation. It's up to you how you seperate your messages.
